Re: New locomotive The GP7 may have been the final dagger that dispatched steam, and that is a shame. However, you have to respect the Geep on the grounds of what it did for the railroads of the day. I would like to see a B/Y GP7 in HO scale. Though I am an N scale fan myself, I always keep my eye on HO scale models that I might like to display in my office, a Frisco Geep would be a perfect display model (for those of you that get squeemish at the thought of the 'static' display of a working locomotive, I do appologize).
Re: New locomotive As we all know the SD45 was KING! However I think it would have looked good in black. At least the first order. Hmmmmm..paint shop???
Re: New locomotive NOW YOUR COOKING ...Brilliant Idea! Full Strips on the ends, please, not little chevrons. (Now, if we can just get Ken busy on that centipede in racehorse colors.)
Re: New locomotive Nah! Putting that classic "Racehorse" scheme, plus some old nag's name, on a Baldwin Centipede would be an insult to the memory of the group of 23 beautiful Frisco "Racehorse" E7's and E8's. No, I'd do a Centipede in the b/y colors, but I'm not gunna do it. That thing would never get around my trackwork! Would look cool, though! Ken
Re: New locomotive I was looking in a magazine yesterday and someone is making a centipede. I think you should get busy if only for a static display model!
Re: New locomotive I used to have a centipede on my layout, but I had the house sprayed, so no more bugs......... (OK, I'll shut up now.........)
Re: New locomotive I guess this is an HO poll right? If so, the poll should be titled "HO Locomotive Poll! There ARE some other model railroad scales out here... Tom
